2011 ANNUAL MEETING
Preparations are beginning for the 2011 Annual Meeting of the members that will be held on March 12, 2011. This year, Districts 1, 4, 5 and 7 will elect directors. Currently the directors in each district are as follows:

ELECTION/NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The following have been appointed to the Election/Nominating Committee:

Election/Nominating committee members are asked to seek out interested members to serve on the Board of Directors. Each committee member will receive a list of members of the four (4) districts up for election.
Committee members also count votes on March 5th. The members of the committee, in the event and only in the event that no candidate meets the petition requirements for any or all
districts, shall seek a candidate for said district(s) and the candidate shall be placed on the ballot for submission to the members for election. The Board desires a minimum of two (2) candidates for each district. Petitions are available and may be picked up at the office in Dolores at 209 Central Avenue.
Each petition requires ten (10) signatures from members within the district that is up for election. Petition packets will include a district member list and the petition. Completed petitions must be returned to 209 Central Avenue, Dolores, no later than 4:30 pm, December 27, 2010.
MEETING OF DIRECTORS
Montezuma Water Company Board of Director- December Meeting will be held TUESDAY, December 14, 2010, 6:30 PM at the Company office, 209 Central, Dolores, Colorado.
All Members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
CHLORAMINES
The
implementation of chloramines as a secondary disinfectant will start
December 1, 2010. The system is divided into two sections-high service
(pumped water) and gravity. The gravity section will be the first area
addressed. This area includes all lines south of Rd T and should be
completed in December. The high service area will be addressed early next
year. Flushing the system is scheduled to occur at night to minimize service
disruption.
GOODMAN POINT
The Goodman Point Project is near completion. All mainlines have been constructed and water service is available. The 54,000 gallon storage tank and the pump station are on line and operational. Cleanup and other minor activities are scheduled to complete the project. To date the project is approximately 21.2% below our estimated cost.
SUMMIT RIDGE AREA MEMBERS
Water User’s Agreements have been mailed to all Summit Ridge District members. Please complete and return to the Montezuma Water Company office.

UNCC has a new easy phone number to call for utility location request: 811. You can still use 1-800-922-1987. Utility locates are good for thirty (30) days- if the locates are lost due to weather or other, call for a relocate of the utilities.
