AUTOMATIC PAYMENT
You may request that your water bill be drafted from your bank account. No need to write a check. You will continue to receive your monthly bill (usually received by the 25th of the month); the bill will indicate usage and charges. Your account will be drafted on the 10th(or next business day) of the month. Call today for the necessary forms.
We accept cash or check. We do not accept credit or debit cards. A self addresseD stamped envelope is provided for remitting your payment.

UNCC has a new easy phone number to call for utility location request: 811. You can still use 1-800-922-1987. Utility locates are good for thirty (30) days- if the locates are lost due to weather conditions or other reasons, call for a relocate of the utilities.

WINTER HOURS Beginning October 3rd, our office hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Field & Plant crews hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. If you have a water emergency please call our after hours number at 970-882-1400.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS
The Montezuma Water Company Board of Director’s February Meeting will be held TUESDAY, February 14, 2012, 6:30 PM at the Company office, 209 Central Ave. Dolores. All Members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Reminder: If you receive an automated phone call from our customer service department in regards to a water outage in your area due to construction activity and you are not directly affected, please do not call our office to notify us. The unnecessary phone calls tie up our phone lines and inhibit our ability to properly serve our members who truly are affected by the outage. Thank you for you understanding.

Multiple Dwellings
The Rules and Regulations from the beginning of the company in 1967 have always stated that each dwelling unit must be represented by a membership. A Multiple Hookup is more than one dwelling unit being served from a single meter. Each dwelling unit which provides living accommodations such as eating, sleeping, sanitation provisions, cooking, etc, are required to have a membership as stated in paragraph 3.22 of the Montezuma Water Company Rules and Regulations. If the dwelling is occupied more than 120 days cumulative or consecutive in a calendar year it is not a Seasonal Dwelling Unit. Call the office for more details.
The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held March 17th at the Lewis-Arriola Community Center. Registration starts at 11:00 am and the meeting will begin at 12:00. Ballots are located at the bottom of the reverse side of this newsletter. The ballots must be received at the office no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 9, 2012.
All four directors are running unopposed.
In order to save money we are asking the membership to complete the ballot and return as a quorum ballot. You may mail back along with your payment in the self addressed stamped envelope.
